Pink sauce, black pepper and paprika

The pink sauce is an evergreen of the aperitif. With its delicate and memorable taste, it is easy to combine and enjoy in any combination.
INGREDIENTS FOR 4 PEOPLE
  • 200 g of mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons of ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon of mustard
  • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1/2 cup of Cognac

PREPARATION
First, take a bowl and pour the mayonnaise and ketchup into it. Add a tablespoon of mustard and one of Worcestershire sauce, pepper and paprika, mix until a smooth and compact cream is obtained. As a last step, add the portion of cognac. Let it rest in the fridge for 30 ‘.

In order to make it creamier, you can add either a few tablespoons of liquid cream (unsweetened) or a few tablespoons of white yogurt or cream cheese. If, on the other hand, you prefer to give an aromatic touch, you can choose a bay leaf.

Alcoholic: for us the most satisfying choice is a Sicilian rosé wine, fragrant and with a floral aroma.
Non-alcoholic: to remain in Sicily you can wash it down with a tamarind drink, or ginger if you prefer to stay contemporary
